Jharkhand Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme Benefits
- A maximum amount of up to ₹15 lakh will be provided to students as loan through banks without any processing fee.
- Students will have to pay the amount at the rate of only 4% simple interest, the remaining interest amount will be borne by the state government.
- The loan repayment period has been fixed up to 15 years for which no collateral security will be taken from the students. No income criteria has been prescribed for obtaining loan.
- There is an option to start the loan repayment process after 1 year of completion of the course and there is also a provision of giving 1% rebate in the interest rate to the student if the loan interest is paid during the period of study.
Eligibility for Jharkhand Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme
Those students who will be Indians and those who have completed their 10th or 12th standard from a recognized school of Jharkhand.
Students who have passed the eligibility test of IITs, IIMs, IIESTs, ISIs, NLUs, AIIMSs, NITs, XLRI, IISCs, BITS, SPA, NID, IIFTs, ICFAI Business School, etc./ranking up to 100 in NIRF ranking. Must have passed the college eligibility test/Grade -A or above admission in the college is assured by NAAC.
- Must still be a resident of Jharkhand.
- The student must have passed class 10th and 12th from a recognized school.
- The student should not be older than forty years old.
- The student must not have taken any previous student loan.
- The student should have never availed of the benefit of this scheme before.
